SIN: SilverKris Business Class Lounge @ Changi Airport T3

Delectable lemon Basmati rice and vegetable curry!

After the Overseas Community Involvement Project trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, it was time for my personal trip to HK, Luang Prabang in Laos and Siem Reap in Cambodia. The journey began at Changi Airport T3 with a chilling time at SilverKris Business Class Lounge while waiting for my flight to HK.

My BFF and I purposely went to the airport early in the morning in order to have breakfast at the lounge and relax.

Assorted Stuff #1

I started my meal with a bowl of corn soup that was mildly sweet, as well as the simple, yet pretty tasty conchiglie pasta. The breaded fish with Mornay sauce, however, wasn't particularly juicy. The spinach and egg with white sauce wasn't that appetising either, especially so as the greens were kinda bitter.

Assorted Stuff #2

On this plate full of local delights, I found the lemon Basmati rice the best due to its aroma and texture, going well with the vegetable curry. The tandoori chicken was bursting with flavours, but it was kinda dry. The Chinese dishes - vegetarian fried noodle, white carrot cake and glutinous rice dumpling - were alright.

Sushi & Cha Soba

As can be seen above, no raw fish could be found at the Japanese corner. I have to say that the wasabi (Japanese horseradish) was potent though. What I relished was the green tea buckwheat noodle.

Fruits & Tau Suan

The quartet of fruits - pineapple, orange, watermelon and papaya - were pretty fresh, but the first one on the list was a tad dry. The split mung bean soup was addictive as it was surprisingly thick and sweet enough for my liking.

TWG Red Christmas Tea & Schweppes Dry Ginger Ale

On top of the usual flavours that are always lining up inside the lounge, there were packets of TWG Red Christmas Tea to make the festive season merrier. I also grabbed a can of my favourite soda drink.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7/10
Ambience: 8/10
Overall: 7.5/10

Pika's advice: Enjoy all sorts of flavours of the finest luxury tea brand in the world, which is TWG. While it's favourable that the lounge offers an array of local dishes, I believe the quality can be improved further.
