SIN: Café Seventy {CLOSED}

Quick fix of beef lasagna with surprisingly good tomato sauce!

UPDATE (26/07/2020): The café has closed down.

If you're looking for a quick, healthy lunch near ParkRoyal on Beach Road, Café Seventy may just be for you. Powered by heat-resistant vitamin mix for many of its food items, the café has the slogan: "where lifestyle meets nutrition".

Panini or lasagna, or both? :P

Smoked Salmon Panini Sandwich S$6.50
Taste: 7.5/10

The first item to arrive on the table was the panini sandwich cut into halves. Having a crunchy exterior, the sandwich had thin-sliced smoked salmon that was mildly salty, along with adequately fresh vegetables. The amount of mayonnaise was way too little, I felt.

Oven-Baked Beef Lasagna S$8.50
Taste: 8/10

While the lasagna wasn't as al dente as those found in established Italian restaurants, I have to say that it was pretty much enjoyable. There was enough beef for sure, and I didn't expect the tomato sauce to be that good with its nice sweet and sour balance.

Mocha (Regular) S$4.00
Taste: 7/10

While my cup of mocha wasn't particularly rich, it wasn't too dilute. The aroma that it gave off was sufficient to keep me awake.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10
Ambience: 7/10
Overall: 7/10

Why seventy, you ask? Well, according to the café, 70% of our health and wellness conditions are related to the diets we subscribe to. Pika's advice: You may want to try their Chocolate Walnut Brownie, priced at S$3.50, for dessert. Unfortunately, it wasn't available during my visit.
