HKG: Ovolo Hotel - 100 Shek Pai Wan Road [Breakfast] {REBRANDED}

Decent continental breakfast with free items in the room!

UPDATE (06/03/2020): The hotel has been rebranded to Mojo Nomad Aberdeen Harbour by Ovolo.

I chose to stay at Ovolo Hotel (4*) in Aberdeen due to its proximity to Jumbo Kingdom where I dined in Dragon Court the previous day. For a 4* hotel, it may appear to be small, but I truly enjoyed the comfort it's got to offer. The spread of the continental buffet breakfast is somewhat limited though.


Muffins & Bread

I started my day with a piece of bread which could be less flimsy, but it had a pleasant yeasty aroma. I had a preference for the moderately sweet vanilla muffin to its chocolate counterpart which could match the sweetness of the former.


Corn & Multi-Grain Flakes

Crispy corn flakes, as well as rich-in-fibre multi-grain flakes were available, to be accompanied with chilled milk.


Ham and Cheese & Egg

The savoury ham slices, together with their milky best friends, were good to be eaten just like that without bread. The poached egg was, in my opinion, approaching perfection.


Oh, yeah... Gimme more, baby... Hmm, any fans of Britney Spears here? :P


Fruits & Yoghurt

In Ovolo Hotel, you'll get apple, pineapple, watermelon and dragon fruit slices in small plastic cups. Nice, velvety fruit yoghurt is also up for grab.


Orange Juice & Coffee

I went for two rounds of the refreshingly pulpy orange juice. For the bitter coffee, I decided to use the cute shot mug.

Where you can find the "world famous peameal bacon on a bun"! Originally opened in 1902, St. Lawrence Market is an iconic public market in Toronto, Canada, a culinary hotspot showcasing more than 120 merchants. The current building incorporates one that was once home to the first permanent city hall and jailhouse that operated from 1845 to 1899. During our visit, my BFF and I sampled some delights for breakfast.
