Chicken inasal is a type of roasted chicken served on a skewer that originated in the Visayas region. Well, the best way to savour its true taste is to go to Bacolod City. However, since I didn't have the time to travel all the way there, I had to be content with what the restaurant chain, which was founded in 1993, offered.

PHI: Mango Park Hotel [Breakfast]

Located in the uptown section of Cebu City, Mango Park Hotel (3*) is within walking distance to Fuente Osmeña Circle, the focal landmark of the city, as well as One Mango Avenue Building which houses Zubuchon. Well, it's not exactly safe to wander around, I'd say, especially at night.

Sunburst Fried Chicken isn't like your usual fast-food fix; in fact, it's a proper restaurant. Popular among Cebuanos, the eatery serves not only fried chickens, but also internal organs which are usually absent in most, if not all, fast food joints. Nope, I wasn't exactly in the mood to eat fried chickens the other day, but I did try something which many people have recommended: fried chicken skin!

The moment I saw Mr. Bourdain's comment in the Internet, I made it a point to drop by Zubuchon for dinner when I was in Cebu to try the legendary roasted pork. To be honest, I was already feeling kinda sleepy that evening because of the tiring day trip to the Chocolate Hills in Bohol. However, the moment I entered the restaurant and saw the display full of roasted pork, I was wide awake haha...

Similar to the experience of flying the international sector, I was personally asked by the flight attendant what I'd prefer for breakfast later on as soon as I was seated, but without any menu booklet given. In this review, I'm going to talk about the breakfast I had on two separate occasions, again featuring two different main courses each. Anyway, you'll only have two choices when flying the domestic sector.

Sit back and relax in the Philippine Airlines' Mabuhay (business) class cabin. Take a look at the menu booklet given by the flight attendant, and soon you'll be asked personally what would you like to have for your meals later on. "What would you have for your main course, Mr. Anderson? Any drinks?" Hmm, I'll talk about the breakfast first and then dinner, featuring two main courses each as I shared the food with a friend.

HKG: CNAC VIP Lounge @ HK Airport

CNAC stands for China National Aviation Corporation; VIP stands for... Haha... The following airlines use the lounge: CA, MK, NZ, MU, CZ, GA, OM, PK, PR, FM, SA, UL and MF. Anyway, I won't really call this a review myself because there's nothing much to talk about. I just took a few pictures of the food available when I was there at around 4.00pm.

HKG: Tsui Wah Restaurant

I spotted Tsui Wah Restaurant, one of the most commonly sighted cha chaan teng (lit. tea food hall) in HK with definitely more than 10 branches (plus one in Macau and a few in China), after I went to buy some sweet delights from Tai Cheong Bakery. Since I hadn't had lunch the other day, I happily walked into the eatery to find out their array of dishes.

The Spaghetti House is a part of my childhood, although I couldn't exactly remember what I've tried before. There used to be a number of branches in Jakarta in the past; not exactly sure if there's any left. It was founded in 1979, and it has grown into the largest pasta restaurant chain in HK.

HKG: Greyhound Café

Refreshing coconut ice sherbet!

I know I should've dined at Greyhound Café when I was in its country of origin, Thailand, for a short getaway. Well, I didn't manage to get my dose of coconut ice sherbet when I was in Bangkok the other day, so I had no choice but to have my revenge when I returned to HK. As mentioned in the menu, the eatery "is not a traditional Thai restaurant", and their food concept is about "adopting and adapting, mixing and matching, and in many cases - they are a mismatch!"

Decent, no-frills lunch in Noah's Ark!

Ever heard of the world's only full-sized replica of Noah's Ark on Ma Wan Island, HK? No, of course I'm not going to explain much about it here, but it was first opened to the public in May 2009. Located on the ground floor, offering panoramic views of the Tsing Ma Bridge and Tung Wan Beach, Harvest Restaurant serves decent food for a quick lunch.

HKG: Po Lin Monastery Vegetarian Kitchen

Vegetarian treat after climbing up to the Big Buddha!

I just found the lines from the website to be pretty interesting: "After a visit to the Big Buddha and having climbed up and down the long flight of stone steps, you will be forgiven for feeling a bit weak and sore in the legs. Nothing would beat a lull and a cup of tea in the monastery’s vegetarian kitchen and enjoy the special delicacy of vegetarian dishes of the monastery." :)
