SIN: Salad Stop!

Filling, satisfying bowl of salad!

A friend of mine recommended Salad Stop! owing to the freshness of the ingredients used, as well as the variety of salad bowls they offer. When I was walking around in Suntec City Mall, I didn't expect to find one of the branches there. Even though I already promised to meet someone for dinner, dropping by wouldn't do any harm, right? Yeah, me and my big appetite...

Go Geisha S$9.50
Taste: 8.5/10

The salad that I ordered was a fusion vegetarian salad, consisting of white cabbage, purple cabbage, tofu, soba (lit. buckwheat) noodle, carrot, snow pea, cucumber and coriander topped with miso (Japanese fermented rice, barley and/or soybean) dressing. Wow, my friend was right. All the vegetables were really fresh and crunchy. The dressing bound all the ingredients well with its pretty strong and slightly sweet miso taste. There was too little soba noodle though, and the crouton stick was kinda hard; there wasn't anything special about it either.  Pika's advice: You can choose to make your salad into wraps for S$0.70 less!

Cream of Roasted Pumpkin S$4.00
Taste: 8.5/10

I couldn't help but order the pumpkin cream soup as I'd been craving for my mom's version of it which I used to eat for breakfast at home. The soup was really creamy, not short on flavour and the sweetness didn't taste artificial, testament to the quality pumpkin used.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 8.5/10
Ambience: 7/10
Service: 7.5/10
Overall: 7.5/10

Actually I wanted to try the Oh Crab Lah! salad which featured Singapore chili crab dressing, but unfortunately they ran out of the dressing that evening. I'll definitely be back!
