Yummy buttermilk biscuit with strawberry jam!

I've known Popeyes even before I came to Singapore. When it first came to Indonesia loooooooong time ago, it was  a big hit, especially because of the Cajun Fries. Anyway, the other day there was an ongoing Like-a-Chicken promotion where you could get one free chicken with every purchase of a combo meal (which includes one biscuit, one regular side, and one regular soft drink) when you clicked 'like' the Popeyes Singapore page on Facebook. Perhaps I should've written this earlier to let you know, eh? Sorry...

2pcs Fish Combo Meal S$7.80
Fish Taste: 7/10
Cajun FriesTaste: 7/10
Buttermilk Biscuit - Taste: 8/10

The fish, lightly coated in batter, was moist and succulent. However, it was too salty for my liking. The good thing was that the fish wasn't oily. Somehow the fries that I had back in Indonesia were way tastier than the those I had here in Singapore. The biscuit was delightful, as always. Fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, the slightly salty (due to the rich butter composition) biscuit was balanced in flavour by Smucker's strawberry jam given on the side. Yum!

3pcs Tenders Combo Meal S$6.90
Tenders Taste: 7.5/10

My friend had the chicken tenders which weren't oily as well. The firm chicken breast used was well-marinated. I enjoyed the aroma of the spices with each bite.

2pcs Chicken S$5.50
Taste: 7/10

Yup, the a la carte price for two pieces of chicken is S$5.50, but we got them for free! Compared to the fish and tenders, the chicken pieces were way too oily and they weren't as flavourful as the tenders. Having said that, they were pretty juicy.

Pika's advice: Head down to Popeyes from 11.00am to 3.00pm (daily) and grab the value lunch meal which consists of two pieces of chicken, one biscuit and one regular soft drink!
