About Me

My photo
Hello, I'm Cliff Anderson! Why Cliff(y), you ask? Well, a lot of people I've met since primary school till now have always called me Cliffy! Anyway, for every 50 posts I come up with, and every 25,000 pageviews, I'm donating a sum of money to the World Food Programme. Your support is greatly appreciated.

No Updates till May or June

Dear readers,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm afraid to say that I may not be able to update this blog for the next two months or so. It's too long a story to be shared here, and I guess it's not appropriate to write such stuff in a food blog.

So yup, till then... I promise I'll be back as soon as possible.

Have a nice meal,
Cliff(y)

1,000+ Pageviews!

Seeing more than 1000 pageviews within less than a month (my very first entry was on 26 Feburary 2011) is really encouraging. Thanks, readers! I'm still a new food blogger, so please pardon me if some of my entries aren't up to standard.

I know I'm supposed to write an entry today, but I really need to do something now, so I guess I'll postpone the next entry to Saturday. I promise I'll update this blog regularly.

Well, it's interesting to see that the entry on Momiji Japanese Buffet Restaurant has the highest pageviews so far: 130. People are into buffet, eh?

Oh, Pikachu and Melon say THANK YOU too!

They're too tired today, so I'll give them a break. Haha... Okay, I shall stop finding reasons and do my work instead. Stay tuned, and good night!

Have a nice meal,
Cliff(y)

SIN: Thaipan

How good is the famous butter squid?

Thaipan - a hidden gem. I use the word 'hidden' simply because this restaurant is kinda out of place. The one that I patronised is located in Civil Service Club @ Changi. The other branch is in Mandarin Gardens Condominium. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind coming back because of its yummy food! Oh, sorry for the low quality of the pictures this time round. My 1.3 megapixel camera phone can't give crystal clear pictures under medium to low light intensity. XD

SIN: Momiji Japanese Buffet Restaurant

The best value-for-money Japanese buffet in Singapore!

UPDATE (11/09/2011): The restaurant at the branch given at the end of this review has closed down. The address of the only branch left is 180 Kitchener Road #05-05/06, Singapore.

Having heard (almost) unanimously good reviews, I finally went for this cheap buffet run by the Suki Group. It was indeed a wonderful dining experience.  I took many pictures, but I'll only show a few of them. The rest are for you to imagine! Hmm, I guess I'll list down the weekday lunch (12 noon - 3.00pm) prices here. For more details, you may want to visit the website. As usual, I'll give the link at the end of the review.

SIN: Pizza Hut {30th Anniversary}

Celebrate with 30% more cheese!

I went to Changi Airport in the afternoon to send a friend off. Craving for some pepperoni, we patronised the restaurant at Terminal 1. Pika's advice: Enjoy discounts by bringing along the food coupons which you can find in their website. The promotion is valid till 10 April 2011.

SIN: Sizzler {CLOSED}

Daily lunch with all-u-care-to-eat salad bar, anyone?

UPDATE (11/03/2016): The restaurant has closed down.

I believe there are two Sizzler branches in Singapore - one is at Toa Payoh and the other one is inside Suntec City Mall. I used to patronise the former quite frequently in the past since Toa Payoh is just a few bus stops away from Catholic Junior College Hostel, a homely place where I lived in during my secondary school days. To be honest, I've only tried their quick lunch deals. :P

SIN: Indonesian Panggang @ The Frontier, NUS

Cheap and yummy Indonesian food in school!

It has been a really busy week. I'll write something that is close to heart (and close in terms of distance from where I live as well!). Indonesian Panggang was first established in NUS Techno Edge (Engineering Canteen) in 2005. There are now branches in NUS Frontier (Science Canteen), NUS The Deck (Arts Canteen), NTU and West Coast Road. Each branch seems to offer different menu. The one which I frequently visit is the one in the NUS Frontier, simply because I spend most of my time in the Faculty of Science! Let's use the present tense since I buy something from this stall very often (at least once a week).
